Suzanne Smith - Paralegal/Office Manager
Suzanne has worked at Mika & Associates since its formation in 1990, and has worked with Pat Mika since before that. She has an Associate’s Degree in Paralegal Studies. In addition to assisting clients and communicating with the attorneys regarding court proceedings, Suzanne provides the essential interface on behalf of the Office with the Courts and their Clerks. Suzanne is the go-to source for all scheduling and communication matters in the office.
Kelly K. Beck - Associate
Kelly received her Bachelor's Degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in Political Science and Psychology in 2017. She began her career working in legal aid, contributing to the Medical-Legal Partnership in Central Illinois before receiving her law degree from the University of Miami School of Law in 2021. While in school, Kelly moved to Colorado in 2020 to begin work at the Office of the Colorado State Public Defender. She continued working as a public defender following graduation and relocated to the Colorado Springs office. While there, Kelly represented indigent persons charged with criminal offenses ranging from traffic cases to felonies. She consistently handled a caseload of 150-350 cases at a time, researched legal issues, drafted and argued motions, conducted pre-trial and post-trial hearings, and tried many cases to verdict. Currently, Kelly assists with all criminal defense work and personal injury claims at Mika & Associates, P.C..
